While I don’t spend a lot of time playing games on my Thunderbolt, something about Flick Golf! peaked my interest. To me, Flick Golf! is a cross between the old roller ball arcade golf game and Skee Ball, because it combines some of the best elements of both into a really fun smartphone game. The name Flick Golf! says it all, a player flicks their finger across the virtual golf ball and the ball flies through the air towards the cup. Players also use their finger to change the trajectory of the ball prior to shooting. The closer a player gets to the cup the more points they earn. Players score points, by getting their ball into the rings around the cup – the farthest ring is 200 points followed by 300, then 400, then 500 and finally, 1000 points for a hole in one. You can also earn bonus points. If a player does not get the ball into the target area, that player does not earn points. A player loses points by ending up in the water hazard or the sand trap. A realistic feature in Flick Golf! is the ability of a player to hook or slice the ball – just like in real golf. Flick Golf! has 3 playing modes: Quickshot, World Tour and Quick Shot Pro. Here is how they break down:

1. Quickshot- A player has 90 seconds to earn enough points to move to the next level.
2. World Tour – A players receives 9 balls which they use to earn points and move into other levels.
3. Quick Shot Pro – Same as Quickshot except you only get 30 seconds to earn enough points (more than in Quickshot) to move forward.

All three levels also require that a player earns enough points to unlock additional levels. Flick Golf! has incredible 3D graphics which makes this game enjoyable to play. It’s also a highly addictive game so plan on spending a lot of time playing if you decide to purchase. I really enjoyed reviewing Flick Golf! and I am happy to recommend it’s purchase. Flick golf was developed by Full Fat Productions, Ltd. and can be purchased on the Android Market for $1.07. Flick Golf! is well worth the asking price.
